Spinal
manipulation, is the most common treatment used
in chiropractic care. Chiropractors perform over
90% of all manipulative treatments. Spinal
manipulation is a maneuver where
the hands are used to manipulate, massage,
mobilize, adjust, stimulate, apply traction to,
or otherwise influence the spine and related
tissues. Many procedures are used by
chiropractors for treating the spine, other
joints and tissues, and general health issues.
When you see
Doctor Buchanan
for the first time, you will be asked for a
general medical history, and you will be
asked to complete a questionnaire about the type
of back pain that you are having. Typically, a
hands-on examination will be performed, that
involves moving your neck and limbs around to
determine your limitations. Sometimes Doctor
Buchanan will
take x-rays of your back to determine which
vertebrae are misaligned. The final treatment
phase of a visit is based on manipulation of the
spine in an attempt to correct spinal
misalignments. |

microprocessor-controlled Sonicator Plus 994
which is
a four channel combination unit. It combines 1
and 3 MHz ultrasound with six treatment
waveforms: Interferential, Premodulated, Medium
Frequency, Biphasic, High Volt and Microcurrent.
A dual frequency 5 cm2 applicator comes standard
with the unit. Up to five different treatment
protocols may be set-up simultaneously using
different timers. |
